Coastal Compass Taxi was established in response to the longstanding demand for transportation services in not only Bar Harbor but also Ellsworth and Bangor. Our base of operations will be in Bar Harbor, where we will primarily serve our local community and cater to the needs of tourists.

Alongside accepting cash, we gladly welcome major Credit Cards and Debit Cards from VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.   • Reservations: For pickup locations 45 minutes or 28 miles away (or more), full payment is required in advance.
  • Cancellation: A 50% cancellation fee will apply to all reservation slots. No refunds will be issued if the cancellation is requested after transportation has arrived at the pickup location.
  • Animals: While we love our furry friends, we do not accommodate pets out of respect for clients with allergies and to maintain a clean, fresh environment. However, small pets in secure carriers may be considered on a case-by-case basis with prior approval.
  • Punctuality: Bar Harbor has limited taxi availability. While cabs are on call, they often operate on tight schedules with multiple reservations. Arriving late can create a domino effect that impacts other clients. Please be respectful of everyone’s time and arrive promptly.
  • Lost & Found: Items left in the vehicle will be held for up to one week before being discarded. Expensive or valuable items will be turned in to the local police department. If you contact us within that time, we’ll gladly arrange for the item(s) to be shipped to you at your expense.
